Qigong Workshop
Finding Your Flow:
Somatics ~ Qigong
Saturday May 16 from 11am -12:15pm
Hosted at Full Circle Studio
655 Highland Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30312 (map)
A gentle, guided reset to help your body move out of tension and into a more natural state of flow.
Drawing from qigong, somatic awareness, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, this workshop focuses on the direct experience of the body, how stress and tension show up, how they keep us stuck and how they can begin to shift through simple, supported movement.
Together, we’ll explore slow, rhythmic practices that invite the body to soften, open, and regulate at its own pace, without forcing or pushing.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply curious about qigong and nervous system work , this is a space to slow down, reconnect, and listen more closely to your body.
No experience needed. Movements are gentle, accessible, and adaptable. Movement session will be followed by a soothing sound bath.
You’ll leave with simple, practical tools to support your nervous system, release tension, and cultivate more ease and balance in daily life.
What is Qigong?
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines physical movement, meditation, and controlled breathing to promote overall health and well-being. One of its primary benefits is stress reduction, as it encourages relaxation and mindfulness. Regular practice can enhance flexibility, balance, and strength, improving physical fitness. Additionally, qigong is known to boost immune function, increase energy levels, and promote emotional stability. Many practitioners also find that it aids in pain management and supports mental clarity, making it a holistic approach to wellness.
I first discovered qigong back in 2012, during a particularly challenging time when I was struggling with severe panic disorder and actively searching for effective ways to regulate my nervous system. I had tried several different practices, but qigong was the one modality that truly helped to shift my anxiety for the better. Being such an ancient art form, it has deep roots in Wuism, or what is often referred to as Chinese shamanism. Qigong provides us with the tools to harness the powerful energies of the elements and serves as a reminder that we are not separate from the natural world around us. In order to truly thrive, we must learn to live in harmony and balance with nature, embracing its wisdom and nurturing our connection to it.

A Monthly Sound Healing Circle
Blue Moon
Fire Ceremony and Sound Bath
5/31/26
7pm - 8:30pm
Join us for our monthly gathering to explore a variety of holistic practices, including sound healing, Qigong, and sacred rituals. This unique experience offers a nurturing space for participants to discover the transformative power of these ancient techniques. Engage with soothing sounds that promote relaxation, energizing movements that enhance vitality, and meaningful rituals that foster connection and intention. Whether you're new to holistic practices or seeking to deepen your journey, this gathering is a welcoming community for personal growth and healing.
This evening will begin with a gentle sound bath, guided by the soothings sounds of crystals bowls, chimes and a symphonic gong. We will then gather around a fire for a sacred ritual of intention setting and prayer.
Ritual grounds us in the present: repeated gestures and moments of attention shape meaning, steady the mind, and transform ordinary time into something held and intentional. Even small, consistent practices—lighting a candle, setting a table, pausing to breathe—create belonging, mark transitions, and help us carry values into daily life.
This May’s blue moon—an extra full moon in the month—invites reflection and gentle renewal, a rare pause to notice cycles and set quiet intentions.
A sound/gong bath is a powerful method of exploring rest and relaxation while being immersed in sound waves produced by instruments such as crystal bowls, gongs and wind chimes. The sounds can resonate differently with each individual and can help to detoxify the body and regulate the nervous system. Many people find that sound baths enhance their emotional well-being and foster a deeper connection to themselves.
A few things before you arrive:
Please bring a yoga mat, blankets and pillows for optimal comfort.
Please bring a journal to record any part of your journey.
Doors open at 6:45pm
The last 15 mins will be reserved for anyone that would like to discuss their journey and/or integrate their experience.
*Sound healing is not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy, and is not recommended for sufferers of tinnitus and epilepsy.
